Downtown Bentonville, Arkansas + Speakeasy Engagement Session
I have thought about this engagement session on a regular basis since we took these photos back in March. There were multiple contenders for theme and location for Hannah and Blake's engagement session. We had some questionable weather in the forecast (welcome to Arkansas) & they ended up opting for a classy date-night vibe for their engagement portraits. Hannah and Blake enjoy occasionally grabbing drinks in Downtown Bentonville, so they thought it would be fitting to grab a few portraits inside the STUNNING Lady Slipper. If you haven't been yet, Lady Slipper is an eclectic yet elegant speakeasy in Downtown Bentonville. They boast an amazing dinner menu as well as some incredible signature cocktails. We started our session there on an early Friday afternoon, hoping to arrive before it got busy. Then we realized. It was St. Patrick's Day. LOL. Almost every single person that set foot inside the bar was rocking their green onesies, tees & hats. I honestly got real nervous, but thankfully, the dinner crowd and I didn't interfere with each other. After grabbing some drinks and cozying up with one another, Hannah and Blake were ready to get back to their sweet golden retriever, Bentley. As any dog parents would, we snapped a couple of portraits with Bentley, and he was cheesing hard as ever. Such a good boy!
We then hung around the Bentonville Square and eventually worked our way over to the Ledger Rooftop. This place is SO cool. This building is the first bikeable building with exterior switchbacks that lead you from the ground to the roof. Really great workout. And even better way for us to warm up on this incredibly frigid afternoon. The views at the top were stunning and made for the perfect way to end our evening together with sunset portraits overlooking the city. I had such a blast with these two and cannot wait for their fall wedding at The Ravington in Centerton!
