European Inspired editorial wedding at the baumberhof in OKC

If you haven't heard of the Baumberhof in Oklahoma City yet, it's time you do. This beautiful estate made its way onto my dream venue list after an afternoon taking photos here, and I can't wait to photograph Jordyn and Quinn's upcoming summer wedding there!

The Baumberhof is a German-inspired cottage just north of Oklahoma City. It's on a few hundred acres of trees and grassland. As soon as a stepped foot on the property I felt like was on my dream European countryside vacation. The cottage is a replica 400-year-old German stone barn in Bavaria, Germany. This barn was built to represent those from all over and allow people to experience all the European vibes. The barn was once a functional barn until the owners daughter wanted to have her wedding there because the barn resembles so much to her. They scrubbed and cleaned the barn for days and figured out the logistics of throwing a stunning wedding. In 2016, she got married to her high school sweetheart and ever since then this has been a place where many couples have said "I do."

This editorial styled shoot was everything!!! Huge shoutout to the talented Melissa Marshall for putting this together! The bridal dress from Moliere Bridal in Oklahoma City was absolutely beautiful and went perfectly with Ruth's veil and the timeless pearl touches. Phillip's cream color suit jacket was super unique and gave off an effortless Euro feeling that contrasted well with the wedding dress. The vintage convertible pictures was definitely one of my favorite parts of the shoot. Vintage getaway cars are so fun, and I love when I get the chance to have fun taking photos of couples in them.

I always recommend sneaking away from your wedding reception to take funky flash portraits at dusk. It gives couples a chance to break away from the chaos and just have fun with each other on their wedding night. These photos came out so raw and natural to the couple's young spirit. This shoot was also a great time for me to break in my new (old) vintage film camera. I had so much fun with it & it made me decide to start offering film with my wedding packages! It's such a great way to add a candid and vintage touch to wedding day memories! If you're looking for a unique photography approach to your European (inspired or actual) wedding, let's chat! I'm currently offering 10% off my destination wedding collections for weddings in Europe!
