Intimate Private Estate Wedding on Lake Hamilton in Hot Springs, Arkansas

Thissss day! Kaitlin and Ben's wedding day was a good one. I knew it would be based on our initial conversations & Kaitlin wanting it to be a laid back, untraditional wedding day. She wanted to skip out on a lot of the traditional and emphasized that she wasn't a regular bride. Music to my ears! I love when couples opt for weddings that are true reflections of themselves & not what is deemed Instagram worthy. The day and set up really felt like a timeless backyard wedding and it was perfect. Kaitlin and Ben said "I do" on May 13th. It was one of the first hot days of the spring, but we lucked out with some partly cloudy skies. Their lakeside wedding venue was seriously the coolest. They got married at Pine Hill Estates in Hot Springs, Arkansas. The venue is a gorgeous private estate that sits right on the edge of Lake Hamilton in Hot Springs National Park. Their ceremony space took place on the property's boat dock overlooking the lake. Right up the lawn was the gorgeous traditional white home that served as their reception space.

When I arrived at the venue, I started getting ready for some quick detail shots. Kaitlin didn't care to have a ton of these, but when I saw the dinner space, I couldn't resist. The long dining tables were dressed with bud vases filled with gorgeous spring florals. Pinks, blues, yellows, purples and greens. So dreamy. The dining tables were situating along the home's second floor windows that looked out onto the lake. A DREAM at sunset.

The couple got ready together most of the morning. They only had a best man and maid of honor which made for a very chill morning with them and their immediate family. Ben dressed up in a unique dark green suite that contrasted the bright florals so well. After Ben was dressed, he slipped out right before Kaitlin got into her dress so that they could share a first look together later on. Kaitlin looked stunning in her off-white lace covered dressed & deep red hair + super chic bangs. She even made a game-time decision to ditch her pink manicure and rock her traditional black nails. A choice I 100% stand by. Especially paired with her "till death" leather jacket! After everyone was ready, we headed off to Garvan Woodland Gardens, about 15 minutes away, to share a first look + get some pretty portraits surrounding all of the pretty greenery. With their photo pass, we got a tour of the grounds & found the perfect spot for an intimate first look. (FYI, the property is also home to Anthony Chapel if you want a to get married in a gorgeous glass chapel surrounded by nature!) After taking photos, we headed back to the venue to get Kaitlin and Ben married. The guests stood on the hillside with drinks in hand witnessing the super sweet & personalized ceremony with the colorful custom arch and Lake Hamilton as the backdrop. Following the ceremony was a super chill & fun reception. No specific timeline for the evening. Just vibes. The guests roamed the house, sipped on wineritas, shared laughs in the living room, watched the couple's first dance at sunset from the porch & played corn hole on the dock. It was all around an amazing time.

If having a big traditional wedding isn't your vibe, let this be a blueprint for how chill & stress free weddings should be. And if you find yourself planning a wedding in Hot Springs, Arkansas, I 10/10 recommend checking out Pine Hill Estates or any lakeside vacation rentals along Lake Hamilton!
